You are only as "good" a photographer as your worst images - and strangely enough - those are usually the ones the world sees..=*^)
Model Internet sites are full of threads about this - and the consensus is that whatever you have in your contract or release - sooner or later (usually sooner) someone *will* post a number of your "not for publication" images on Facebook or wherever - where your mistake(s) will be clearly seen - and noticed...
Why would you even take the chance your worst images will be published? If you are the least serious about your work would you not try to make sure only your *best* images will be seen?
The truth is that a "model" will see things in the images that *she* thinks makes her look good - not the things *you* as a photographer - with your photographer's eye sees - and she will post *her* image(s) - and where will that leave you?
You will look like a not so good or accomplished photographer - that's what..
I never show (or give) a model the "whole take" from a shoot. *I* select the images t will develop and print - and it will only be the ones *I* think are worthy of publication - it is *my* reputation as a photographer (or artist) that matters (to me anyway)..=*^)
Of course, I make all this very clear at the Look See. I never schedule a shoot without a Look See where all the details are discussed and the release is signed. That way issues like you write about usually won't happen (every now and then it will though so it is important to have this in writing).
