Spirit of the Wild

Fotografen Steve Bloom visar utställningen "Spirit of the Wild" på Kongens Nytorv i Köpenhamn.

"The Open Air Gallery will be the first of its kind in Europe and will throughout the summer present two different photo exhibitions of high international standard.

The theme of the Gallery is "sustainable development" and the goal is to mark Copenhagen as the European Environmental Capital no. 1, through an excellent cultural event. The Gallery will be open 24-7 without any entrance fee, at night the photos is illuminated. At the square there'll be an information centre with information about sustainable development, a movie about the photographers will be shown and there will be a shop selling merchandise referring to the exhibitions.

The exhibition will show 100 pictures, size 120x180cm.

"Spirit of the Wild" is about wild animals from all over the planet. WWF, the global conservation organization, has supported the exhibition, with different kind of material. WWF works to stop the degradation of the planet's natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature."
