The Warriors of Maidan, Jean-Marc Caimi & Valentina Piccinni

The Warriors of Maidan is a project developed by Jean-Marc Caimi and Valentina Piccinni. Thousands of common people of all ages, genders and social classes, including students, laborers, businessmen, ex-soldiers of the Afghanistan war and bodyguards, gatherers from across Ukraine to fight for the "Maidan Revolution" in Kiev. They each grabbed a wooden stick or a baseball bat, a helmet, a balaclava, in order to assemble a make-shift military outfit to get ready for clashes against the government police forces, and with just the hasty training given on the battlefield these brave fighters were all ready to die for the freedom of their country.
