Begagnad Canon D30

Jag funderar på att köpa en begagnad D30 på t ex ebay, men jag är lite nyfiken på hur det fungerar med garantier osv.

Generellt sett, vad är det som egentligen kan hända med ett sådant hus vid normal användning? Om slutaren går sönder, måste man väl ändå bekosta ett byte själv, oavsett garanti, eller?

Vad kan annars gå sönder, som borde vara bra att ha en garanti för?

Och om jag köper ett hus för 3-4000 från t ex ebay, och när jag får den märker jag att någon knapp inte fungerar eller liknande, är det då värt att ta risken, eller blir en liknande reparation för dyr?

Used Canon D30

what usually - normally breaks on a D30 - I have two of them - 3 years old by now - is that the shutter fails - the sign is that it no longer syncs with a flash/strobe - both built in or synced external strobe. The expected life was 30,000 - 50,000 exposures I think.

Mine both failed after about 55,ooo exposures - Canon fixed for, if I remember right, around $275 but I may be a little off on this - was more than a year ago.

Mine has held up very well otherwise - still use them as back ups and for certain type of images - great camera - biggest failings are as you probably know the focusing but you learn to deal with that..=*^) Both mine still looks like new - love these Canons..=*^)

Buying from eBay has it's pitfalls - never buy an item and then send your money to a 3rd party who's supposed to hold your money until you've gotten the merchandise and examined it - many folks lost their money that way. This is a often used scam - once the "clearing house" gets your money they're gone and you'll never get your stuff..

And of course - there's no guarantee on used stuff unless it's in writing and the seller is well documented - and then you have to probably take the cost of sending it back and forth to the US if something goes wrong or is wrong.
