Persongalleriet #646: Beijing, Day 14
June 27th, 2016.
Time for some big business in Beijing CBD and more than that, some big architecture! Started out with Beijing's most spectacular example: The CCTV building. Approached from the north and found some shots on the way:
Well Spaced.
Granny Football.
Lunch Break.
Getting closer. There is "Big Underpants" in the background.
Umbrella Blues.
Playing with Angles.
Fit the Frame.
Triangle of Squares.
Be well, everybody!

Persongalleriet #645: Beijing, Day 13
June 26th, 2016.
Took an hour's worth of a morning stroll in the immediate neighborhood of my hostel, Red Lantern House, after breakfast. It was crazy hot outside, so I rested most of the day, with some Lightroom work thrown in.
Crossed Legs.
Little Heart.
Alternative to Diapers.
Watermelon Break at the Outdoor Hair Salon.
In the evening I went out on a longish walk through the hutongs that led me down to the Imperial lakes area.
Help! My human is being eaten by a bush! ;-)
Traffic Jam at Houhai Lake.
Be well, everybody!

Persongalleriet #644: Beijing, Day 12
June 25th, 2016.
On this day, I went to the Art Zone 798 hoping to see some nice art and to make said art a part of my street photography.
Art Zone 798 used to be a large factory complex, built in the 1950's, mainly by East Germans.
There was some photography to see. Sony Photography Awards here in the background. There was also a small museum claiming to be the first independent photographic museum in China.
T Rex & the Twins.
Be well, everybody!

Persongalleriet #643: Beijing, Day 9-11
Day 9: Went to the Forbidden City, which I wrote about in the previous blog entry.
After finishing up I felt hungry, tired and very very warm. It was +35 C after all! I had a light lunch of some mild, but delicious, jiaozi, so as not to aggravate my stomach too much. Here's a pic shot through the restaurant window:
Back in my room during the early evening I realized I had a fever. Even though I had about 2 liters of water during the day, between that tourist belly and the heat, it must have been way too little.
Day 10: A bad night with rising fever and fluids just coming out and I decided to stay in the air-conditioned room all day. Just having water and nothing else. The fever subsided eventually and in the evening I added some lukewarm Coca-Cola, with the bubbles whisked away. (Old Lindskog family household trick for upset bellies). No photos at all on day 10.
Day 11: Throughout the day, I kept drinking lots of water and a little of the coke mentioned above. Strangely enough, I felt quite energetic and went on an early morning photo-walk. Here are some of the snaps:
Sunflower alley!
Even the Chinese get the Blues! :-)
Bike With a View.
The Pups.
After the photo-walk, I tried a buttered slice of toast for breakfast which stayed with me. That got my hopes up a bit. Call me crazy, but I went on a trek across Beijing with the goal of streeting at Beijing Train Station. Found a western style café for lunch. A tuna sandwich and an iced tea worked perfectly!
I'm gonna save the train station shots for future blogs.
Be well everybody!

Persongalleriet #641: Beijing, Day 8
Tuesday June 21st, 2016.
Unfortunately, my Monday of rest didn't give me the results I had hoped for. Actually my back was feeling worse than ever and now my stomach had started to act up. A mild case of tourist belly maybe...
I decided to just do morning and evening walks and rest during the worst heat of the day. Here are some of the shots:
Be well, everybody! :-)
