Bibble 5.1 en billig utmanare till Lightroom
Nu kommer Bibble i ny version och med utökat stöd för ytterligare tio kameror. Bibble är en billigare utmanare till bland annat Aperture och Lightroom och finns för både Mac, PC och Linux.
Bibble är likt Lightroom och Aperture ett flödesbaserat bildbehandlingsprogram och har liknande funktioner som sina konkurrenter men till ett lägre pris. Bibble Lite ger samma hastighet och kontroll som Bibble Pro, men saknar som namnet antyder en del av proffsfunktionerna.
I version 5.1 finns utökat stöd för tio nya kameror, bland annat Sony NEX-5 och Panasonic G2. Den nya versionen har också en ny kloning- och lagningsfunktion.
Pro-versionen kostar 199.95 dollar och Lite-versionen 99.95 dollar. De som köpt Bibble 4 efter september 2006 får gratis uppdatering, likaså kunder med Bibble 5.0.

The data set showed two problems with Bibble Pro. The first one is that it handles EXIF data rather strangely. Data is not properly grouped together and sometimes it is simply wrong. The serious issue is that it ignores files and those files just do not appear in the catalog. This is truly a show stopper as DAM software is useless if it cannot catalog all images. This has been reported to Bibble Labs but we got no response so far.
