yes, it should work fine. You'll have to buy a travel el converter for the battery charger but otherwise it's all the same, I think.
That said, you cannot repair under warranty here in Europe. If something goes wrong you'll have to send it back to the States for that.
I'm pretty sure Canon's policy is the same as Nikon's on this point, though you could always call Canon here and ask.

No, I don't but I have a good contact in Hong Kong. The guy is a Doctor and a good friend of mine. He's also best of friends with the managing director of Canon in HK
Good thing with him is he'll stand behind the warranty if you ever need to get it fixed.
I've bought a couple of Leicas from him in the past, too.

Jag tror du kommer att få problem att köpa en 10D över disk med alla väntelistor. Möjligtvis kan du beställa en i förväg på nått sätt.
Jag hittade den här när jag sökte för ett eget inköp. Men jag handlade inget så jag vet inte om dom är bra eller dåliga att handla av.

Jag handlade (dock bara ett Canon EF 50/1.8) på Pitman Photo Supply i Miami när jag var där sommaren 1998, och de var mycket seriösa på Canon (och även Nikon). Se http://www.pitmanphotosupply.com .
