9/21/51-punkts-lägena försöker ju följa ett motiv som rör sig över bildytan med hjälp av fokuspunkterna runt den aktiva, men det markeras inte i sökaren så man ser inte vad som händer. 3D-tracking däremot tänder upp fokuspunkterna varefter fokus förflyttas så där syns det på ett annat sätt. Åtminstone funkar det så i D700. Sen måste du förstås ha AF-C på för att få kontinuerlig fokus överhuvudtaget.
