Ny Sandisk 1GB Ultra CF

Sandisk have just introduced a new 1GB Ultra CF card to Sweden. Details in Swedish can be found here:

BTW I'm told by the supplier that these new cards have a write speed of 6 MB per second as opposed to 2.8 MB of the current cards. That's faster than most cameras will need

9 MB? Wow, how many RAW format pictures can you fit on that one? 1/4?

Vad jag vet så kommer det inget 9MB/s kort än på ett tag? Kanske du har förväxlat det med läshastigheten som är 9MB/s på det nya 1GB ultra?

Nope, not according to my source. 6mb/s write speed on the new 1gb Ultra, 9mb/s coming during August. He said specified that there were few cameras that would need that speed...if it had been card to computer speed, why the need for the last comment..?
