hej det har inget med rastreringen att göra. Epson drar automatiskt upp (interpolerar( bilden.
Jag bifogar frågor och svar från DP-review (lite utförligare.
"Hi!
Grateful for any help!
Printed for the first time A2-format (glossy paper) and got pizza wheels marks -specially broad at the end of printing. (automatic feed)
The A2-paper quite thin 145 gram . With latter paper no problems. (apporox 300 gram)
Have made head alignments and checked for clogged printerheads but i did not help
I´ve tried to change the thickness of paper and paper feed adjustment in paper config effect-but no effect
Conclusion: the printer cant-handle this paper?-seems ridiculuos since it is EPSON paper . On the other hand-why not any pizza wheels on the thicker paper.
What to do:? I do not want to remove the wheels or start frontloading.

Which Epson glossy--you didn't say? Only the Premium Glossy is listed as compatible with the Ultrachrome inks--so I would assume K3 also. The other Epson glossies are listed for compatibility with other inks. Not all Epson papers work well with K3 inks. BTW--you didn't mention what the other paper you are using is---I'm assuming it is not the same glossy paper in a different size.

I don't print on Epson glossy, but have tried Hawks Mt. Sharpwing glossy--no problem, and the quite glossy Harman (though thicker I'm sure) prints without a problem. Usually this happens because the ink isn't drying quickly enough as it goes through the printer--or the platen needs to be wider, but you tried that. I'd check the paper and make sure you are using the Premium Glossy. What media type are you using? The media type for PGPP allows for proper drying time for that particular paper--but quite possibly not enough for other glossy papers.

HI!
The name of the paper is photo quality glossy paper. 145 gram I suppose, according to your link it´sn not compatbile wit 3800. I have not yet tried to "widen" as you recommended. Mabye that is a problem too. The printer makes a terrible noise during print- I can almost hear the cog-wheels making their marks. That is not so wiht the other paper (a premium glossy paper- but not Epson.
Eget tillägg: Att papperet inte är kompatibelt tror jag nu inte på. Mönstret på skrivararen kommer från "kugghjulen" och har inget att göra med dålig torkning av färgerna

Pizza wheel marks are a known issue with this printer in general when using glossy, luster, or semigloss (or fiber-based) papers -- any paper to be used with the Photo Black ink -- when using the Auto Sheet Feed or the Rear Feed.
See here:

Even with thick papers you should see the marks, if you hold the prints at an appropriate angle ...
