these can also be picked up cheaply at www.ebay.com As an example, I just bought a brand new Lexar 1GB 16X Pro CF Card for SEK4000
The best price I found here in Sweden was over SEK 14000 for the same card!!!

If you have an item sent via GLOBAL PRIORITY Small Envelope that weighs max 1.8 Kilos, the cost is $5 or ca, 45 SEK. Global Priority normally takes 3 days from the States to Sweden!!!
If it's a larger item and requires a a larger packet or envelope but still weighs under 1.8 kilos, the cost is $9.....
Much cheaper than most people think and quick, too!

just noticed your last question. I've bought and sold around 500 - 600 items on ebay. Had a problem 5 times with buyers that didn't pay or an item that was not as described. Pretty good ratio.
Each seller or buyer has a User ID (nickname); After this name is a number in brackets. Click on that and you'll come to his "feedback" where you can read what others who bought from him or sold to him, have to say about him. It's not difficult, therefore, to pick out who you should buy from and who you shouldn't. Buy only from sellers who have a good feedback and you won't go far wrong. Heck, I even bought my D1X Pro Kit from www.ebay.co.uk though with that kind of money you need to be careful..
The only problem that I have with ebay is that I buy loads of stuff there I don't need, everytime I get bored online

Det gäller verkligen att ha järnkoll på priser och modeller oxå.
Det är lätt att förväxla en del modeller med annat namn i USa.
Fördelen är väl en något mer realistisk prissättning. Om man kollar på t ex Tradera här hemma så begär folk över nypris för gammalt skräp.
Det skulle varit kul med en riktprislista på beg kameror även digitala för att se vad dom verkligen säljs för. Det borde ju gå att få ur auktionsprogramvaran.

Yes,
Paypal is VERY useful and has worked flawlessly for me for the last 3 years. I can highly recommend it. Also, www.bidpay.com is a very good way of paying for items which are in the $1000 plus range. You pay in much the same way as with Paypal (via card) but the seller received a certified bank cheque from Western Union. You can also cash those at your bank here in Sweden.

I guess different people use ebay in different ways. I always know exactly what I'm looking for before checking it out on ebay, and I've always checked the prices thoroughly here at home on the net beforehand, so I have a pricelist in my head over the stuff I'm looking for.
The times when it's easy to get burnt, pricewise, is when you are just browsing.
Impulse buying seldom brings home a bargain...
Yes, the different names in other countries can be confusing (Nikon N80 instead of F80 etc..) but it's not so difficult to figure that out.
That said, you also have www.ebay.de (Germany), www.ebay.co.uk (UK) www.ebaysweden.com (guess...
) etc...so you are not just limited to the States. I've bought alot from the UK and German sites, too. Don't have to worry about customs duties with the latter mentioned sites, either...Duncan
