Le Viseur - The Viewfinder


Say hello to Le Viseur Magazine. This is the front cover for the first number of Le Viseur.

Le Viseur is a new net based Swedish magazine for contemporary documentary photos. The first number of the magazine will be published in the end of mars.

Le Viseur is the french word for viewfinder. We want to create a magazine for contemporary documentary photos. Free from commercial adverts and boring articles about cameras and lenses. We want to put documentary photo were it belongs, right in the center of attention. We believe that many people are interested in straight simple documentary photography, free of special effects and manipulations. We want to give these people a forum and a magazine were they can upload documentary photos, read articles, look at photo-essays and documentary photos.

Le Viseur is a magazine who celebrates the art form of documentary photo. Le Viseur shall also be a place were you can discover new documentary photographers from Sweden and other countries.

Naket och osminkat från Ryssland

En del putsar och fejar på sina kameror innan de varsamt placerar dem på pidestal för avfotografering. Jag väljer istället att visa upp min kamera naken och osminkad. När en kamera bara blir stående så ska den avyttras så att den kommer någon till nytta. 

Min Leica längtar efter våren, då ska den åter laddas med en rulle Tri-X och det ryska objektivet som jag precis har förvärvat ska få en chans att visa vad det går för. Vän av ordning kanske undrar vad det här har med den läsarlockande rubriken att göra? Forsätt att läsa inlägget till punkt så får du svar på din fråga, är mitt svar!

Det är inte helt omöjligt att det dyker upp ett naket och osminkat reportage från en liten rysk stad i nummer två av Le Viseur. Jag håller som bäst på att förhandla med en mycket duktig rysk dokumentärfotograf. Jag hoppas verkligen att hon tackar ja till en medverkan. Hennes bilder är i vart fall så bra att hon förtjänar all den uppmärksamhet som hon kan få.
