PPS PMU, at the Lukenya Getaway, Nairobi

Hi again!

It´s time for some more pictures from the seminars hold outside Nairobi. I´ll try do write in english. This blog is mostly for my friends in Africa but perhaps my swedish readers will find something to enjoy....there are some birds, animals in the end:)

We were about 85 persons from 9 african countries. Here to plan projects for coming years 2015-2018, projects supported by PMU(for swedish readers Pingstmissionens utvecklingssamarbete).

Thanks to Mauds planing and preparations everything worked out well during our stay here. Thank you Maud!!

We had some interesting discussions. For instance, you have two choises about a thing to do. How do you look at a task? "Just do it! or do you think like this "If you don´t know how to do it, don´t do it!

Most of PMU projects you find inside these five blocks: Democracy, gender, wellbeing(health, education, livlehood), envirorment and capacitybuildning.

The hotel was very nice.

The staf was great! Thank you guys!

The sessions we had was great but the best part was to sit together and share everyday things. Talk about how things are back home. How life is in different parts of Africa.

Let´s go back to work!

Everything was translated to french for the french speaking.

My two friends from South Sudan, Mustafa (to the left) and Hani. In two weeks time I´ll meet then in Juba, looking forward to that!

The last two days, we had discussions in  different groups. South Sudan was my group.

What is our first priority?

The last night we had our dinner out in the bush.

No lions but these friends from Etiophia started to sing for us, lovely!

I must say that the swedish song and dance had a lot to improve(Jesus älskar alla barnen) but fun it was as you can see.

We had a lot of fun during our stay, every morning some of us went for a walk outside the hotel area, and there we could see a lot of animals and birds.

It was quit odd to hear that some of my african friends never had seen a zebra, and they live in Africa.

Strange to see wild animals and still see some houses.

I hope you all have injoyed some of the pictures at least. This is the end of my blogs from Kenya. Tomorrow I´ll go to Tanzania with my wife, we have our 20th weddingday coming up in a couple days....so I guess that I´ll soon have some more pictures to show.

Jerry Williams i Jönköping

Hej!

Fick tillefälle att vara sjukvårdare på Jerrys konsert i Jönköping. Kameran fick följa med och fick jobba hårt. Sjukvårdsmässigt var det inget att göra så det var bara att njuta av denna fantastiska "gubbe".

Vilken ork karln har! En kanonkonsert med många goa låtar. Härligt band hade han med sig också. Här blir det nu bara en bild men snart typ hundra på Flickr. Har precis börjat ladda upp bilder dit, funkar bra tycker jag. Där heter jag steda1.  Blir som en liten bildbank, här kommer jag att fortsätta blogga.

Blåljus igen. Satellitstationen i Habo

Hej!

Trött och seg efter ett dygns arbete på vår satellitstation i Habo. Habo ligger ca 2 mil från Jönköping men tillhör vårt ambulansområde.

Vi har några pass där med viss regelbundenhet och då jobbar vi ett dygn. Har haft ett okej dygn men var uppe några timmar under natten. Har inte haft möjlighet att sova igen det så det har gått åt lite kaffe mm idag.

Bilderna är tagna vid ett tidigare tillfälle.

Ngn som stigit i graderna, gul hjälm är en befälshjälm.

Märket!

Luftpaket.

Brandsläckare.

Något "snäckskal" som vet vad det är för maskin med hjälp av bilderna? Snäckskal uttrycket kommer från deras vita hjälmar om nu någon undrar över det.

Slangen.

Räddningstjänsten i Habo har en deltidskår, alltså killar/tjejer som har vanliga jobb i samhället och kan inställa sig inom 5 minuter. Det har oftast jour under en vecka i taget och måste då vara beredda att lämna det de håller på med för att snabbt ta sig till brandstationen.

En lönförmån kan vara att en får använda tvätthallen till sin egna bil och då kan de ju vara bra med stövlar.

På förekommen anledning eller??

Nu rullar vi vidare.

Nu tar vi ett steg mot....

1:a bilen vid utryckning.

För att få jobb inom brandkåren krävs bl.a. en bra fysik, de blir testade innan anställning och sedan med jämna mellanrum. Tror vi avslutar med att se när brandchefen får gå rökdykartestet.

Vågar inte visa närbilderna...skulle kunna bli en jobbig stämning nästa gång jag är där men svettigt var det kan jag säga.

Program planning seminar for PMU in Nairobi, a drama performance!

Hi!

I`ll try to write in english so that my friends from the seminar will have a chance to understand what I`m writing. I´m sorry for all wrongspelling that you can find.

The PPS took place outside Nairobi at Lukenya Gateway, a very nice place to stay!

After a hard days work we had a visit from a local church, a group of young dancers and singers. They had a drama performance for all of us.

Briefly the story was about a young girl who liked to dance and party, she gets in to trubble with drugs etc and don`t want to live any more, when she meets the love of God in Jesus.

The pictures are not that good but I think you can follow the story.

You are sick you need to change your life, says the doctor.

I´ll kill my self!!

She meets with God!

Lite blåljus bilder som omväxling!

Hej!

Sitter på vår satelit station i Habo och har äntligen fått lite mat i mig. Nu börjar jag återfå krafterna.

Hoppas på ett lungt dygnspass men det är ju lönehelg.....

Har ett USB-minne med en massa jobbilder så här får ni en liten blandning.

Vår station i lite vinterskrud, tidigt en morgon.

Nu har det hänt något!

Vi ska nog hitta, de e ju utlagdt på kartan.....

Här gick det visst lite fort.

Nog syns det är det är en olycka! Ta det lungt förbi är ni snälla!!

Kan vara lite tajt att komma emellan ibland.

Här har jag jobbat sedan 1997.
